Web Projects

Shepherd University
I attend a small liberal arts school that is located ninety minutes outside of Washington, DC in the cozy town of Shepherdstown, WV. I am an active graphic designer, webmaster, and peer leader on campus. Here is some of the more relevant accomplishments.
- High GPA
Proudly maintain a 3.74 while working towards my Mass Communications major and Journalism minor.
- Program Board
On the Executive Leadership Team, plan and coordinate campus-wide events, coordinate budget issues, and work with students.
Also, I’ve designed & developed the Program Board website from the ground up, and currently maintain it.

- Honors Program
I am an active member in the Honors Program, and have exceeded in Honors-level classwork.
- Peer Leadership / Orientation Program (A-Team)
A-Team is a group of peer leaders who greet, welcome, advise, orient, and generally help out all the new, incoming students to Shepherd University!

I am employed as the webmaster for the Intramurals program here at Shepherd University.

- Student Life Council
This is a council of students, faculty, and staff put together by the Vice President of Student Affairs, Sharon Kipetz. It has committees on everything from SGA to Buildings and Grounds to Homecoming to Commuter Affairs.

- Technology Oversight Committee
This is a committee of students, faculty, and staff put together to oversea the entire budget, policies, and projects of all technology across campus. From software to hardware upgrades, computer labs, or new technologies, we’re in charge of discussing and implementing them.

Experience
Before attending Shepherd University, I was homeschooled. This means, however, I was able to dedicate a lot of time learning various subjects I found interesting. This has given me a rather unique range of experience.
- Adobe Photoshop
I have been an amateur designer since 2001, doing minor projects and graphical tasks.
I’ve been a professional designer since 2005, creating fully custom web layouts and graphics for a variety of clients.
- Website Development
I have been a hands-on Webmaster / Web Developer since 2003. I’ve experience with web hosting, domains, blogs, scripts, coding, design, maintenance, and the overall operation, security, success, and development of a website’s front- and back-end environments. Though my focus is on the design aspects, the management and coding aspects are not overlooked.
- Project Leadership
When running a project, having a solid direction and firm leadership are vital aspects. And since leading dozens of projects since 2003, I have taken a leadership role in all of my projects. Some projects include:

- HTML / CSS Coding
Working as a designer, I’ve been custom-coding all of my designs since 2005. I hand-code everything, using a text editor. I’m proficient in both HTML and CSS coding, using table-less design.
- Popular Website Software
I have used the following web software / scripts for over a year on my own projects. I am very familiar with their setup, modification, and general administration.

I’ve an abundance of experience with all the latest, and most popular, Web 2.0 trends. I’ve integrated Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, RSS, Digg, and many other popular services within my web projects.
